"From the Joshua Tree Inn" Playlist 3-24-15 ... & NotSXSW

Had a GREAT time participating in NotSXSW in Austin last week, thanks mostly to my hosts, Jim Patton & Sherry Brokus. Jim & Sherry were organizers, emcees, & performers at a couple of venues, G & S Lounge on Thursday & NeWorlDeli on Friday, in between & around a few other gigs. They kindly put me up at their house & invited me to be a part of the line-up both days. It was an honor & a real thrill to be included among such great musicians, such as Bill Kirchen, Ray Bonneville, BettySoo, Mary Battiata, Jeff Talmadge, not to mention Jim & Sherry ... the list could go on! Made a lot of new friends too! Hope to keep coming back ...

Now, here is this week's show, including some music I picked up in Austin ...

Just a Little News ...

Please check this space for upcoming news and observations, mostly about my music, or about music or radio in general, but also veering into the world at large (and small), including reflections on mental health, bicycling, stay-at-home grandparenting, and the state of the world.

Second order of business: Folk Alliance 2015 in Kansas City February 18 through 22. Details listed in Events.

First order of business: Over the twenty years we have been together, there are only a couple of musicians Sandra and I have seen over and over: A couple months ago, we saw Ani DiFranco for the umpteenth time; the day before Folk Alliance, we are driving up to Chicago to see John Mellencamp, as we have done many times before.

All the driving & lack of sleep will prep me for FA in KC!
